How you can help with the Ebola outbreak

Health officials in the United States and Europe have declared a public health emergency, but many Americans are still stuck in a dark period.

The first symptoms appear three days after the first symptoms show up, and symptoms last up to two weeks.

The CDC says the average recovery time for a person to recover from an infection is three to five weeks, and that patients can recover from the virus as early as two to four weeks.
